I posted the below info at the CNCzone classifieds. I would like to trade my woodwork for some cnc construction advice. I'm an experienced woodworker since 82. I mill/kiln/molder and make quality furniture for indoor and outdoor. I have some of my own wood design products also that are unique. I make too many items to list. My web site shows some pics of some of my works. Shipping large items is always a hard part. It can cost as much to ship a blanket chest as the chest itself. I can make some projects in pieces that you assemble and finish (if you have basic woodwork skills). Chests can be flat packed etc. I also have woods for woodworking, I stock about 80000bf. All the normal cuts, high quality cuts, and some freaks (spalted, wormy, bark inclusion, crotch slices) What I want is advice/recommendations on a cnc machine project that I build. I purchase all the components. 48" sq. or 48 x 96. I have no problem making the table, gantry and shop made components, I need recommendations on servos, software, track type, etc. It will be used for working wood. I'm not interested in purchasing cheap components. I'd rather get good linear/motors systems. I'll start out with ultra simple projects that I do now.
