I am not sure why I am reading this thread or clicking the links. The search for knowledge, and cool ****, and we are Canadians, I guess.

The Gorilla machines don't look very substantial to me - I guess I have to wonder about the reliability of the cheaper machines like shop bot, Larken, Gorilla - ball screws, servos versus steppers, enclosed rails for motion - these elements would appear to be very important. When I see a machine on casters I have to wonder about vibration and accuracy too - although I'm not machining metal parts, wood joinery has some finer tolerances...

When so many people are so eager to sell machines with such a difference in cost it's tough to decide! I would love to discuss it with an unbiased experienced user before I spend $50,000!
