CNC mentor for HF mini mill

I am looking for someone to lead me down the CNC conversion path in the Boulder/Denver Colorado area. And brand new to this forum. I subscribe to the GrizzHF mill lost and the minimill list. If you are so inclined, please contact me via email or PM on this forum. I am a gunsmith and looking to automate my mill. I have the setup for DRO and just need to take the next logical step. I am looking at the FigNoogle plans that I bought and also looking at the Steele plans. I wish that Steele was still making the CNC conversion kit, that would make it brainless.

    deezulsmoke,

Unfortunately I can't help you with your conversion, but wanted to let you know I was in the area (Boulder). I am new to machining, but am currently reconditioning a RF40 clone I bought on eBay (just painted it today!). I will be installing DRO as soon as it is put back together, and then will be using it to build a CNC machine. Maybe we could share tips, or you could post an update to your CNC conversion.

Hi I am in the Boulder/CO area and am looking for fellow machining enthusiasts!

I haven't gone the CNC direction yet, but who knows?

If you are interested in getting together we could meet somewhere in Boulder and swap tales...

    Dean
