North Phoenix Large CNC router Looking to build a CNC router in the range of 10' by 5'. I'm a woodworker with the need to make large parts for teardrop trailers. Need some help with the overall machine but mostly the computer end of things. Just starting to get my feet wet with CNC. Hoping to have a complete router within a few months.

I just finished my control box for the CNC, and I live in North Phoenix. I am a hobby woodworker also, and have a complete shop. I'm not building one near the size you are, but I have gecko's and built my power supply and wired it all up and control motors with Mach. It could probably control the one you're looking to build.

Sounds like you have the knowledge I lack to build this thing. Over the next 2 weeks or so, I will be designing and buying the parts I need to get started. Maybe I could pick your brain on some ideas. For instance, source for parts such as ball screws and a rack and pinion drive. Local if posible. I'll more then likely ebay the stepper (or servo) motors. Let me know if you would be interested in being part of this build. Thanks Scott
