Nope, the CT054.

Its the knee mill, not the mill-drill.

I have everything needed now. Just need to complete the motor mounts. I'm nearly done the first axis (X).

I am in London Ontario

I am learning to program stepper motors in hope of making a toy cnc just for the fun of it.

Hey people. I see this thread has been dead for a while, but it is relative to my location. I have a Dyna Myte 3000 desktop CNC lathe that I have been trying to get running, but feel I may be further ahead to update it so I can use Mach, as I have a desktop CNC mill on order also. If anyone has knowledge of updating older controls, I would appreciate your insight.

i have done 3 retrofits to mach3 and am in the london area. i looked at a few pics of your lathe model. i think that it would be an easy retrofit as it already is a cnc machine.

If that's the case, then see if Xylotex's complete system in a case, is in your budget.

You can also buy the stepper motor mounts from at least 2 different companies that I know of, though I don't have their URLs handy.

Just thought I may be able to add to this thread. I have never built nore do I intend to build a cnc router as I am part owner and shop manager of a shop in Dorchester just outside of London, I have access to all the equipment I would ever need. I can help, if you need, sourcing ball screw and linier bearings and drives, ect. from some of my suppliers as I likely get better pricing on a lot of the mechanical parts that you would require. Also may be able to provide advice on differant aspects of machining and troubleshoot problems you may have.
