Although this may belong in the job opportunities section, I am looking for some general advice that may be relevant here.
I am MSSC CPT certified, and recently graduated from a 2 year Manufacturing Technology/Maintenance Mechanic program and I am looking for a job in the greater Chicagoland area.
My objective is to find either an industrial maintenance, CNC operator position, or anything else that can be found in a machine shop/factory.
Is there anything else I can do to be more marketable?
The NIMS milling level 1 piece I made is being checked now, and I will take the exam ASAP upon the passing of a NIMS piece.
I know these two positions are very different, but does anyone have any idea on how to do a better job in selling my background? I am reviewing GD&T and CNC materials.
Thank You
