Hello everyone!

I live in Syracuse NY and I would love to meet up with other Syracusans (or any other central new yorkian folks) who are into all of this fun stuff!

I am trained as an artist, but I have found that to be more a personal fulfillment rather than one I would like to make a living with.

About a year ago, I found this lovely place and I have had a fire burning in me to build stuff since I found this place...

So, what I would love to learn are any of the following skills: In no particular order as well...

Milling / Machining
Woodworking
Jewelry Design
Metalworking / Casting
Moldmaking

The materials I would like to learn to work with are as follows:

Wood
Metals
Plastics
Rubbers
Leather
Foams

I'm trying to gather together as much information as I can before I begin spending money on any equipment so I don't waste any! Any advice that you all would have would be highly appreciated!
