Users group

Just finishing our first day of the Mach3 convention in Knoxville and have talked to alot of participants there. I think Scott (Poppabear) is doing a bangup job with his Instruction of Mach Screens and macros. We also have discussed setups and tommorrow will see some actual machines built by local users. Now for the icing on the cake... In my discussions everyone would like to see what is being done with those DIY and conversions in the area. I cant think of a better way than start a User group. Tour facilities, garages, and shops to see how they did it. I have been very impressed with the diversity of expertise from beginner to advanced in everything from routing, foundry, to electronics and plasma cutting machines. Let me know what you think I will start a new thread on the Polls section of the forum so not to steal this thread. This user group will be based in the East Tennessee area.

Bob

Yea I am running out of room in my little shop. I went to Walter A Woods today. They have a decent selection of machine tooling but real high on prices. All I bought was 2 parting blades for my lathe. There is something wrong when they have no prices on things. LOL. Oh PapaBear visited a few weeks ago. I am going to make his electronic enclosure with my plasma table when he gets me the dimensions.
