    Guy with funky mill

I'm in Park City and just finished retrofitting a Varnamo (Swedish) mill
back to CNC. Next project is a CNC Plasma/Router table. What are you looking for?

    Hi utahnorton
I'm in Stansbury Park. Since the post in April and lurking on the zone and several yahoo cnc sights I too decided to build a Router/ Plasma table(router first). What I was looking for was to see someones router work and see what G code etc was all about, to get an idea other than in pictures of what in takes to make a homemade router. Have you been able to find used linear motion equipment in the Salt Lake Area?

Have not started contruction yet and just starting to acquire parts.
Will probably use 80/20 aluminum extrusions for the frame. I'm new
to CNC and went with AJAX CNC for controller and servos for the
mill. Haven't tried looking for linear motion equipment in SLC yet.

    Hi utahnorton
Been under the weather. Haven't felt like doing anything. I checked around SLC and was unable to find anybody dealing in used/surplus linear motion equipment. I will probably use steel tubing for the frame with angle iron and skate bearings. I think I will make the frame large enough to have a 4' x 4' working area and support a router gantry and a sencond plasma gantry. I don't know if this is practical but will see.
