Hello, I work for an aluminum manufacturer, we are currently trying to build a new product to assist loading/unloading patients in the medical industry. Is it possible to run a dual shaft stepper motor with a rechargeable battery source? Or is there another system that would work better? It has to be light weight and easy to use. Thanks in advance, Mike |

![]() Since most things running off batteries tend to have problems with run time I am thinking you want to look at servo motors. Given the amount of heat comming off most stepper motors I have seen they are not very effiecent. |

| Thanks for the reply Andre, That narrows the possibilities down, I've seen rechargeable batteries run a hydraulic system on Ferno stretchers before; I'm looking to improve the performance in cold climate areas. Figured eliminating the hydraulics was an improvement. Mike |
