Hi This is my first post, so forgive me if i am going over an old subject. I am looking to learn more about how cnc systems work. I have been programing and running machines for some years now. But what I'm talking about is. the nuts and bolts of the machine the control system itself. ( You know the big box on the back of the machine). I'm looking for books that go over how the servos, power supply's, boards, encoders, etc, work together to make the machine work. Would like to retrofit and mill someday and make some changes to my machines Ive got now. Thanks! |

| The subject encompasses many disciplines, take one subject at a time and google it, e,g, Stepper/Servo motors, encoders, power supply -switching and linear. Once you have a handle on individual components it is easier to see how they work together. Al.
