| hI, I have read about manytypes of CNC like Plasma, grinding, wirecut, hmc. I would like to ask all of you that what are the Codes used in this all machines. I am very much familiar with G & M codes for turning & machining centre. I was curious to know if any other codes or coding language is used in other machines... I refer to general codes like G1, G2, M05 & so on. Ash |

| There are unique G codes for EDM, Plasma, Punch etc they are to long to list here, I suggest you do a Google and see what comes up. I have them in book form but none in pdf. M codes to some extent are standard for each machine also, but can vary due to being written by the MTB, so these can have individual purpose unique to a machine. Al.

| I don't think you understand what Al_The_Man said about each machine maker having thier own set of codes, the task of finding out what each code means for each type of machine ( mill, lathe, EDM, plasma, hacksaw etc ) and also from all manufacturers is an enormous job. You ask for a favour, don't be surprised if you don't get a reply. an example G56 -- on an Okuma mill is tool length offset, on a lathe not used, on a FANUC ---who know's -- I don't care--- I run an Okuma mill G43 -- on a FANUC mill is tool length offset, on a lathe ??, on an Okuma is 3D cutter comp--- I don't care about FANUC -- I run an Okuma mill An old adage--- a man that knows a little about everything is dangerous. so my advice, pick a machine, learn it, use it, and then you may one day be classed as a good operator/programmer |

yA I got your point.. I am quite aware about the G Codes ( plenty.from G00 to the end ) & also have a fanuc & mitsu manual for refering those... The cnc hub is mainly distrubuted in 2 groups - Machining centre & Turning centre...Than comes the Boring, grinding & so on.. I been a CAM programmer since 4 years have a good knowledge & control over the cnc lanuguage..I was just concerned about any specfic or codes (which we never come across in CNC Lathe & mACHINING CENTRE ).. Thanks buddy fr your valuable info..:-) |
