I asked before, but the discussion got side tracked. )Is there a chart somewhere, or rule of thumb that tells me how fast I should spin a diameter of Acme threaded rod to keep wobble out? As of right now I'd like to run steel 1/2" acme, 5ft long at 200rpm, captured on both ends with a ball bearing and a thrust bearing. Any thoughts? What is the max revolved speed of 1/2"?? 5/8"?? Thank you, |

| Well, never mind. I found it. Supposedly I can spin 1/2" acme over 600rpm. http://www.nookindustries.com/engine...ticalSpeed.cfm |
