I’m constructing a garden trellis using structural aluminum and I need to know the size of the aluminum cross-piece I-beam. The support posts for the I-beam are 14 feet apart with a 2 foot overhang on each side (18 foot overall). The static uniform load across the I-beam should not exceed 500 pound. Current design has the I-beam as 4 x 6 x 0.25 (width, web, thickness) Any comments |
