I have no idea which forum to put this post in - this one was the closest I could think of. I'm considering building a system, that could 'scan' an RF probe around a stationary object, for taking near-field RF measurments. It would be a 3-axis system, not unlike a small 2.5D router table, perhaps 18"x18"x6" of scanning area. Oh yeah, it's got to be constructed of non-metallic materials. I can't avoid the motors and wiring, though I might belt drive them to get them farther away. I'm OK with MDF and HDPE structural parts. What I don't know about are non-metallic drive and bearing components. Any ideas would be appreciated. Gary |
