    Aluminum fan for motor

Customer had a motor that had a fan come apart. Machining new ones for them out of 4" thick 7050 aluminum 19" diameter. Using a 3/4" ball endmill to machine so there is a good radius in the corner where the blade meets the hub. This a good type of aluminum to make these fans?

That does not look like a typical fan by any means. How fast was it turning? 10,000 RPM?

Nothing wrong with 7000 series aluminum that I know of.

Nice. Should hold up fine at that rpm.
