    Stepper motor information

    Hi!
I have one stepper motor and I can't find any specification on internet... Here is what is written on the motor:

    BAUTZ
    STEGM. DG-60-KIT C1
    Tip: SCHRITTMOTOR
    Auslieferungs-Nr. : 20371808
    GERATESTAND : 22
    C26312-H149-B216*6
    HY200-3437-ENC

So, if enyone knows anything about this, I would be very thankful.

I noticed that there are many stepper motors that have hy200 in their names, i found snome with HY200-3437, and some with C26312, so I supose this numbers means something, but I can't figure what... And I can't find motor that have identical numbers lkike mine...
Is there a methot to measure voltage and current for stepper?

    Hi,

I have googled to find out some info on 23LQ-C355-G2v and 23LQ-C302-G2v but found nothing. I have few pieces from broken Lexmark printers and I would like to use them on my last machine which is in progress. Can somebody help? Please.

    Thank you,

    Zoltan

A lot of motor manufacturers use a prefix such as HY200 or 23LQ which indicates the frame and rotor size, and have a suffix to indicate the winding characteristics. Many of the motors in printers are custom wound for the printer manufacturer, and will have a suffix that does not appear in any of the motor manufacturers catalogs or documentation.

If there is no voltage or current marking on the motor, it would be difficult to determine them. About the only way would be to measure the voltage across the coils in a working printer. A motor will have a specific current, voltage and resistance. Usually, only two are specified, because if you know two, you can find the third from ohms law. You can measure the coil resistance, but you would still need to know either the voltage or current, and could only guess at these.
