I'd start with a Machinery's Handbook. If you don't have one the local library should have a copy.
Hi all,
Hoping I posted this in right area. I'm trying to make a protective screw on cap for my CNC lathe collet closer. It has a Hardinge style threaded end, which is 2 3/16-10 thread, and I'm trying to find the thread dimension information. As far as I can see after searching the internet, this is a very odd thread. Was hoping someone here wold have the info or know how to arrive at it. It's an internal thread I'm trying to create. Class 2B is more than enough. Needing the minor diameter and pitch diameter dimensions. I did a little quick calculating from basic dimensions and constants, but in no way do I trust it totally for machining
Thanks!

Yep, I started there. Also looked in several threading manuals as well as engineering info online. Can't find it. It's a thread used primarily on Hardinge Lathe spindle noses.
