Hello,

I know the basics of CNC. I am a novice programmer. What i need want to do is take a manual machine and put a CNC control on one axis. The idea is to have the axis move in increments per revolution of a spin fixture. Sort of like a surface grinder which has switches on the reciprocating table which feed the Y-axis down. I need it in sync with a DRO or atleast a method of setting a finish point.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction or give knowledge on a simple solution ?
