Short presentation, Iím studying to become a Mechanical Engineer (in Sweden). I am in a one man project to develop a small test bench for CNC testing. The test bench is today 3 axis for simulation of hardware and software. But it should now become 5 axis.
It simulates water jet cutting.
What I am seeking for is some information about the different ways of constructing the other 2 axis. I can see that depending on which construction I pick will result in different movement for x,y axes. Do you maybe now any comparison between the different methods that has been documented? With movement ,advantages and disadvantages about the different ways.
Today there is a C axis fitted that is not in use which I hope to use to rotate to nozzle together with the fifth axis.
