Default Mill tapers: aprox cutter and materials for ISO10, ISO15, ISO20

    re: ISO10, ISO15, ISO20
Does anyone know about the capacities of these tapers?
Lets say for steel, cold rolled and O1, what size cutters and feeds are these tapers designed for?

I know it also depends on the machine and lots of other factors, but nominally, is there any info out there, or anyone with experience??

Don't know about the larger 2, but ISO 10 typically uses er16 collects which top out at 3/8" or 11mm.

Hi, I have IS0 20 on my Skyfire SVM-0 mill and tool holders with ER32 chucks.

You can also get ISO 20 tool holders with ER20 on EBAY rated to 30,000rpm.

For cutting steel, I was wondering what type of material removal( depth of cut, feed speeds, cutter dia., etc) is typical for each size?

Yeah I know there are many factors, but ballpark what can Ii assume when making a decision on what to commit to>?
