Need Set Up Help - I Have a Qt18-ms I want to turn a shaft 240mm long 15mm dia. using the sub spindle to support the end and sink both chucks can this be done or is there a easier way for shafts on this type of mazak? Last edited by pwtooling; 02-12-2010 at 11:58 PM. |

| If you can turn a cylindrical portion at the first feed out to grab you should be OK. turn short O.D. at Head 1 Grip turned dia with Head 2 Pull out stock full length with Head 2. Synch both spindles - I think this can be done at the beginning? Turn O.D. wiht both spindles synched. cut-off without a lot of revs at blade break through. pretty sure everything is possible with the enlightened use of mazatrol transfer units? -jim |
