HI im new to mazak machines my workplace just bought a new mazak quickturn 200 II lathe with a multifeed barfeeder. Tonights the first time ive used the barfeeder,im familiar with barfeeders on other types of machine but this ones not playing ball. When the lathe gets the end of bar signal it jumps into the 9999 program but instead of spitting out the billet and loading a new bar it alarms out with ,250 spindle alarm. This is the 9999 prog g18 m05 207 48 206 g98 69 49 68 207 return Does push switch or component switch mean anything to anyone? like i said im new to mazaks but i think this may be the problem Any help would be great thanks |

Hi, Something seems to be wrong with the sequence. Spindle may be getting overloaded. Please check the alarm on the Spindle Drive. Please check if the bar is pushing when collet is not open. Regards |

| In addition to a may not be entirely correct top cut program, there is also the issue of executing M206 and M207 chuck open/close by program. PLC parameter RB01.1 is the switch that allows M206/M207 to be used or not used. If set to "not used" (RB01.1=0) then the control cannot execute these commands and an alarm is generated. (parameters are either "instant" or need a reboot to be effective) This is an example of a proven TOP CUT program for a late model LNS bar loader on a fusion control. The correct M codes for matrix have to be put in , in your case. It's here just to show the flow of program code. It is helpful for parameter settings and plc parameter settings, but it isn't very good for programming templates! Mazak Techs usually leave this info, in the form of printed stapled sheets, in the electrical cabinet door, along with final inspection reports, chip conveyor manuals, and elec wiring diagrams. -90% jimmy PS - just checked a typical Matrix lathe OP manual for Alarm 250. This alarm would be generated if you manually open the chuck and then try to start the spindle by program or manual operation. I'm pretty sure there's about 4 or 5 other conditions that would also cause your alarm. Parameter RB01.1 set to "0" would also cause this alarm. Boy, I hope I got this one right!
