I have a leadwell MCV-0 with a Meldas MO control. Yesterday I had a Resolver die on my X axis. I had a replacement, put it on and adjusted the resolver voltage on the card. Now it seems like te x-axis is traveling a bit short. The first part I ran was about .01" off in x length from the part I ran before the resolver died. Also the holes I was interpolating after were .003" smaller in the x plane than the y plane. I adjusted the gain to be pretty close to the Y axis (~33 @1000mm/min) Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Eric |

| its not home position, thats got nothing to do with a round hole being out of round,i would check to make sure the new resolver is tight, ive seen a loose one do that, also check the backlash, could be in there, and check your motor coupling,if that all checks out i would have to say more fine tuning is needed possibly in the parameters |

Thanks for the replies, I made sure the resolver to motor connector was tight when I assembled it. And I am using the same motor so the drive pulley shouldn't be an issue. I checked the backlash( using a DTI and a short program to move the axis out then back) I adjusted the gain to be as close to the y axis as possible. I adjusted the voltage of the resolver signal (with a scope) I am at a loss what else to do. There must be a way to adjust the distance travelled on the servo card but I can't find it in the manual. | Have you tried adjusting the droop yet. If you check the servo monitor page the droop should read 0 at a stand still. You said you adjusted the gain. Was this at full rapid? 33 sounds like a good number but it should only hit that number on a rapid movement. |
