mazak qt15n alarm 250

hello guys

anybody knows about mazak qt15n, we replace the mc116 board and install all necessary parameters. spindle not running in manual mode and alarm 250 appear. also we cannot run the graphics to trace whether the program is correct or not... we much very appreciated the help coming from u guys..tnx

Sometimes if you replace the MC 116 board you will need to reinitalize the control.

tnx larry, but what do you mean, re-initializing by using micro disk?, it is possible downloading the parameter manually? i mean without using micro disk downloader.

Hi There;

The alarm 250 is in reference to the spindle command will not turn on due to chuck not being clamp.
Try this first. Change from internal to external chucking or vis versa and try clamping the chuck. If you get the chuck clamp command to become high/made then try starting the spindle again.
Re-intializing is to to do certain procedures to restore the operation procedures and formatting certain areas of the control.
Depending on the type of control you have , Mazak and Mitsubishi have procedures to restore/ reintialize your control.
So try to change from internal to external clamping first or visversa and try clamping the chuck. Comfirmation of the chuck clamping is needed before the spindle will turn on.
Simply putting parameters in manually or micro disk sometime is not all that is required.
Post back with control type and let us know what you find out.
