Need Help!- mazak h500 question - m code

Hello i have a mazak h 500 and i need an m code function how to turn on the AIR blast thru the spindle,i know i can turn it manual,i want to know if there is an special m function for that

M code Air Blast was an option on the H500s as well.... Do you even have it?

Yes i can turn it manualy in the coolant menu

My guess is that it may be a PLC parameter, like "air blast on by M50" or something like that. Or it just may not be possible to do it by program?

This is an older machine, correct? what version Mazatrol is on it?

Do you know maybe what is that parameter?(i think that is a little bit to much,)


Yes that is an older machine from 1989.Its an m-32 mazatrol control

I don't think it was an option. All Mazaks use spindle air blast during a tool change so if it works then it should work by calling M50 or M132 in the program.

All mazaks use air blast in toolchange but the M code was a "standard option" back then. Some models standard... some models option... (just the M codes)...

Being an H500 I should've thought about that ... standard on horizontals .... (my earlier remark is an error..)

We are using macak 8800 m50 is air on not air thru M132 is air thru
I can only get it to work using M119 S0 . I am using this to blow out part for probing bore. I us G1 with a z move feed rate and put in M132 so air thru will come on then use M9 to turn it off, the M119 S0 will set spindle at a angle
on the 8800 M119 S0 will set spindle at 0 I hope this helps.
