    Alarm #260

Slideway lube malfunction? This is on a Mazak QT-20 with a Mazatrol T-Plus controller. It has a Bijur #TMD-5 lube unit. Can anyone tell me if it's the pressure switch or do I need to rebuild the the unit with a motor and gears.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    lube pump

Don't know the model number of that unit. Plunger type or gear pump type? If it is a gear pump type cap the output of the pump and watch it cycle or use the manual lube button if it has one. DO NOT RUN THE MACHINE WITH IT CAPPED OFF ! Test the pressure at this point. should be about 180 PSI i think. If it's low, take the pump unit apart and clean it. re-assemble and test pressure, if its still low there should be a regulator screw in it to adjust. If the pressure there is ok, you either have:
    1. a broken flex line somewhere
    2. The lube manifolds are bad and need to be replaced. They are not closing allowing the pump pressure to bypass through them.

I have found the motor is not running with 105 Volts AC supplied to it from the machine. I have ordered a new motor and also a pressure switch. I have replaced many switches in the past and could use one, even for stocking it.

    no voltage

if it is a plunger type then you are on the right track.

I have a mazak with mazatrol T plus controll. It has a 260 slideway lube alarm it's getting plenty of lube so I assume it's a pressure switc but I can't find it. Can someone please tell me where it would be? Thank You.

if the lube oiler was allowed to run too low, it's possible that there is air in the line. the alarm is generated from a pressure switch, so in this scenario the system would have to be purged before normal operation would be allowed to continue.
