Exclamation MELDAS 50: S01 servo alarm:PR 0010 S

Hallo everyone

I have a problem with a yang VMC EAGLE 1000

When i power up the machine in the morning it works about one-two hours,
then this alarm appears on the screen

S01 servo alarm:PR 0010 S
emergency Spindle

If i power off-on and start to work again ,
after 5min the same message appears.

But if i power off the machine for more time ,then the machine can work more...

it is seems that maybe the drive is defective?

Thank you in advance

According to my manual this alarm indicates a low bus voltage condition in the drive. I would first check the fuses going into the spindle drive and verify you have the correct voltage being supplied to it. If these both check OK there might be a bad rectifier in the DC bus circuit.

Scott

try www.meau.com

I don't remember what manuals they have for the M50. If you can't find any then download the alarm & parameter manual for 60 series instead. The information is close enough to still be quite useful.

Downloading the mauals will be tricky from your location (Greece). Meau.com redirects European customers to melfans website where there are no downloads to help you. You need to use a proxy or disable some scripting options from the browser. You can check my solution at Practical Machinist: http://www.cnczone.com/vb...d.php?t=119989

It's been said in another forum that if you put your computer on USA time, you can download from MEAU.

Hi,

I have a simmilar problem with an XYZ 850 Vulcan with an Meldas M50.

I am geting alarm code:

S01 servo alarm:PR 0024 S
emergency Spindle

I have managed to get download the manual from www.gcodex.com but the PR 0024 S code is not mentioned!

Has anyone else had this or can anyone advise where I can go to get some advice?

I have gone to our XYZ manufacturer and they referred me to their "old" mitsubishi man but he cant seem to help??

Thanks

Mike

Mike,

The 0024 alarm indicates a ground fault. Check that none of the motor leads are shorted to ground.

PR0010 SERVO ALARM IN MITSUBISHI CONTROL

Hi,

Alarm 10 is the Under Voltage (Incoming Supply) alarm. It can also happen due to the malfunction of Opto-Isolator in the drive, which sense the voltage supply & give feedback to processor.
Check the voltage supply to the at the drive with alarm (at L1, L2,L3) if it is 200V, then the problem could be Opto, will need to replace the drive from Mitsubishi.

Is it MDS-B-SVJ2 series or MDS-A-SVJ series?

Is this alarm for one or all of the axes drives?

Regards,

Girish
