DNC and Matrix control

We use Job Pack as our DNC software and found that our Mazak’s with the Matrix controls will not convert a program back into Mazatrol when loaded back into the machine. When you send it to the computer it converts it into the 3 digit G-code format correctly but when you send it back to the control it will not convert it back. This control has USB only so we had to get a USB to RS232 converter to communicate with Job Pack. I called Mazak about it and they said it can’t be done on the Matrix control but our Nexus controls have no problem sending or receiving. We have thousands of T-Plus and M-Plus programs on our server that the Nexus controls have no problems loading. Has anyone come up with a viable solution to this?

Yep.... Network the machine... even with a wireless if you want. Why bother with a serial DNC connection?

As for not converting the program back to Mazatrol... haven't looked into that one. I don't run Mazatrol.... (have to check it out though)...

That dosent help me with all of the T-Plus, M-Plus and Nexus programs I have on the server. They are all stored as the 3-digit G-code.
