| No problems... But that's not to say that there isn't a problem. All builders have crappy service and support somewhere... It's not a Mazak thing....

| It is not always possible, but I go to Mitsubishi whenever possible, always been very good support, especially the Canadian office. The odd Mazak might have a Fanuc, but most are Mits. They solved a few problems that Mazak did not have an answer to. Al.

| I always use 3rd party vendors for Mazak repairs unless it is warranty. They are just too slow responding. Mazak president Brian Papke was in my plant last week and I mentioned that to him. He said that is an area they intend to improve on. I will believe it when I see it. |

I also have Makino, Toyoda, Matsuura, Haas, Niigata, Komo, Heian, Nakamura, etc, etc, etc. They all have their "service" issues in places....

| And I have no doubt that for you and others, Mazak is the worst. My only point is that it's not always the case. Mazak ranks about number 4 or 5 in my book.... I have several that are far worse... But all the same, my worst ones may be better for others and the order is different.

| Mazak does not want to be bothered with calls from a guy with a VQC15/40 M2 that needs to reload his parameters again. There is no money in that, they will blow that guy off to help out a company with newer machines. That said, Mazak is still slow to respond to warranty repairs. On the plus side their parts inventory is usually in stock if you know what you need. |

| From my experence with Mazak if you bought the machine from a Mazak dealer they would be right on it soon. But if you bought the machine somewhere besides MAZAK, they were very slow to answer questions. They would want to send a service man out to fix your problem, or answer your questions. As we all know too well this is going to cost you big. |
