Angry MAZAK VQC-40

I am looking for the parameters for a MAZAK VQC-40 with a MAZATROL CAM M-2 control.
Have tried mazak a couple of times and have had no luck :-(
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My e-mail is aarriaga@radtec.com

Thanks in advance

I believe the error 22 is a sum check error. Go to the back of your electrical cabinet and find your CNC. Sometimes there is a plastic manilla cover that may need to be removed. Find the FX01 or FX701 PCB which should be about the 3rd or 4th PCB from the left. You will see two toggle switches at the top. In between the two toggle switches you will see 8 dip switches. Switch 1 at the top and switch 8 at the bottom are opposite of switch 2~7. Turn the CNC power off. Flip switch 2 the same direction as 1. Power the cnc back on for about 10 seconds. Then power the CNC off. Flip switch 2 back to it's original position and see if the alarm goes away. You may have to remove a small plastic cover over these dip switches and a small metal locking pin in the back in order to move the switch. Also you may need to remove the PCB from the cabinet to see what you are doing. There are two locking bars that hold the PCB's tight into the cabinet. One at the top and one at the bottom. Make sure you turn the machine power competely off before removing. There is 100 VAC at the bottom terminal and sometimes the bottom bar will fall and short the terminal out.

If this does not correct the problem, you may have a couple of parameters set wrong that states that you have an option on which your S/W does not support. This can be seen on the diagnostic page. Look for the version screen to see if you can see any astricks in the versions. Check speciafically parameters Y03 and Y04 to make sure these parameters are set correctly.

Best regards,

Chippy

I`ve just had that same error. Is it a NMI 22 checksum error or a 22 sum check error? They are different.Doing a re-initial with the dipswitches will not cure a 22 sum check error, what it may do is give you a different alarm message which will likely point to parameters.
What leds are lit on the cards?
Mark.
