MO CRT repair/ replace with LCD

I had the crt monitor on one of my Leadwells die this weekend. It has the MO control. The CRT is an MDT-925 PS.

Has anyone replaced one of these with an LCD?

The monitor was acting funny for a couple days before it died but is there anything else I should test before putting a new monitor in and barbecueing it?

Try to repair first, it's easy, just check the capacitors and replace new part. or take to TV serviceman.
LCD is expensive.

Hi, I have one of these where the flyback transformer smokes. How would I test to see if there is anything else that has gone bad? Is it possible to replace just the flyback?

i ussualy use additional SCREEN+FOCUS set from old TV/Monitor.
just connect it to the HV cable and Ground, cut off screen+focus cable from original flyback and replace the cables from additional Screen+focus set.
no need flyback replacement, because it's hard to find the substitution.
