Mazak memory

Did someone try this memory extention? http://www.calmotion.com/usbcnc.html
I need to know does it work with '99 Mazak QT 20N with mazatrol T Plus.Do You know any other way to extend the memory in this lathe?

I would think it does. These types of products (there have been many over the years... even back to the days of the 5-1/4" floppy) are more of a 'portable' DNC so to speak. It's a storage device (using the USB).

Take a look at Ezatrol, it's a simple PC DNC specific to Mazaks which works great on my T-32. You can only save or load programs, but for the price its the way to go if you're simple looking to add memory capacity.

Yeah but Capn'... you're talking about software. He's looking at storage unit to use as a feeder.... a little different.

but if it were me.... I'd have a DNC system on a desktop/laptop too...

So then what the Cap suggested is a good piece of software. There's many many others out there as well and even Hyperterminal on Windows. Find them all over the net if you google it...

I just installed two of these on some Mazak mills. They work great.
