| We own a Mazak VTC-200C and just bought a Blum Length Tool Setter. Before auto measurement, we have to manually compute 0 in tool length to avoid tool crash...Murphy made it happen . Is there anybody know how to edit macro to include a command which could automatically compute a zero in Tool length field of tool definition? |

| Rather than doing that.... Call Blum and tell them to fix the macro.... They've got something messed up and no reason for it.. Unless this is from some other install... Who installed it?

OK... I think what's hanging it up are machine parameters and the system variables Blum is using to calculate. Several things they need to know.... Is this for Tool setting or Tool break check? Or both? Are you using Mazatrol Tool Data? or Tool offset page? Are G43 related parameters pulling from Tool Data? or Offset? What system variables (if any) is Blum using to read the tool length? What variables are they using to set the tool length? What is the motion sequence of the tool setting?

| interesting.....what do you mean you have to zero out the tool data? If you zero out the tool data you can't check for wear or breakage and that makes no sense at all. What kind of Blum presetter is this, a laser or mechanical type and when was it installed? |
