Hello, This is my first post ever on CNCZone.com. But I have been reading the forums for quite some time.

I'm looking at buying a used Mazak Micro Slant 15 with a Mazatrol T-1 controller. I'm told that the battery's went dead and it needs the parameters reinstalled, but the current owner doesn't have a copy of them. Would this be an issue for me?

You can get the original parameters through Mazak as long as you give them a model and serial number.

There might be a charge to get this if they have to go back to 1980 files back in Japan. The regional Tech Center where the machine lived might be able to help. If they happen to keep good records. They will not divulge the history of a used machine, though. Company policy.
