Need Help!- add u-axis

Hello,

I want to increase U-axis in machine center for cutting tap or circle hole or step.

Can you explain to me how to add an amplfier \ paremeter\ servo paremeter\ motor\PLC and so on ?

The machine is made in Mazak, system is 640M or Matrix.

U-axis tool is made in Komet & Dandrea !

If you have some experience or opinion or have some Mazak machine with U-axis option , please let me know !

It would appear that fairly complete integration has to be done to the CNC controller as it mentions the Komet is controlled by 3 M codes and controls the unit by analogue control with encoder feed back to the controller.
I would contact Komet and ask them exactly what is involved as they mention integration with the Mazak Matrix.
I believe Mazak had some proprietary control over the Mitsubishi 640.
