| I have set up wireless pcmcia card on my four Nexus HCN4000II w/Matrix controls. The signal strentgh is so low the control locks up after awhile due to the adaptor connecting and disconnecting all the time. My router is within 50 ft of the machines. Since the card is in the metal housing of the control it blocks most of the signal. Anybody have a solution or idea for me? Adaptor is AirLink101 Model AWLC3026. When it works it works great but I can't live with the lock ups all the time. |

Locks up after awhile?? You're having to drip feed or something?

| There are two pcmcia slots inside the control. I use a laptop wireless card and it fits nicely. It is much faster than USB transfer and I can paste programs to and from the control from my network. The signal strength is the problem. Enable sharing on the C:\MC_BACKUP\OTHER folder and use HD transfer to and from the main memory. |

| I see what you're doing... With the box there's a bunch of noise and the enclosure is inhibiting. I'd get an extender or better yet... it apparently works... ![]()

| Just for note... I'm using a USB wireless to talk with my eMachines and don't have any connection problems. The WAP is probably a couple hundred feet from the machines...

I decided to stop being cheap and bought a Linksys RangePlus wireless notebook adaptor for my Matrix machines. Wow...I now have 93-100% signal strength and no control crashing issues. I guess its a case of "you get what you pay for" |
