DNC option is not available on the M32B. Use CMT to transfer Mazatrol and TAPE if you want to transfer code.

I think you can drip feed g-code on the M32B (not 100% on that) By selecting TAPE mode the Worknumber on the Position page will turn to asterisks **** Push Cycle Start on the machine then start the drip feed from the computer and it will draw more code as needed.

Hi, I am having this issue also. We want to use tape mode to drip feed files and seem to be having a problem with the handshake. the pc sends the whole program but the buffer cant accept it so it just uses up the buffer then give a 887 error. Does any one have a cable pinout that works and the software settings. I am using windows 3.1 terminal that I got from Mazac that the person said worked. I can store programs in memory and ahve been communicating that way for a year but cant get tape to work right.
    Thanks,
    Rick

    From a previous thread.

"All you need to do is put the control in "Tape" mode. (the key next to Memory) At that point the Work number in the upper right of the screen turns to asterisks and the control will wait for data to start coming from the RS232 port. First hit "Cycle Start" on the control then send on your computer and the M32 will take what it can and start running. When it needs more code it will call for it. Set your software to "WAIT for CNC". When the control sees the M30 it will stop asking for code."

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. We are doing those steps and it seems that the cnc is not telling the pc to stop until it asks for more. It sends the whole program then thinks it is done, then when the cnc needs more there is none. Where would i find wait for CNC in the software and is there any special setup in the cable?

Most cables are NULL MODEM or straight thru serial. I think the control side and cable are fine. There should be some documentation in your software on setting Wait for CNC command. Here are my settings for "WAIT for CNC"
    COM1 /B19200 A /DIS Y /WXON

    Hope that helps, good luck.
