Mazak Control List

We are a CNC Networking company and many clients ask us to setup communications for their Mazaks.

I was wondering if the group can help provide a list of all the Mazak controls made so we can publish the list and help customers with details on capabilities of these controls. Any input is greatly appreciated in advanced.

Model:

Tplus
Mplus
M32
T32
T2
Fusion 640
Fusion Nexus?
Nexus 640
Matrix

Your question is a little confusing.... You want a list of all controls and its capabilities?

What group? Any input from ... ?

List I know of...

early T series (T1, T2, T3)
early M series (M1 or EIA, M2, M3)

M series
M32, T32 (each with with a few versions or revisions)

Plus series
Tplus, Mplus, MT

Fusion series
640M, 640T, 640 M/T, 640 Pro, Nexus

Matrix (Current version, covers all types)

.... and, Mazaks also came with FANUCs (6, 15, 16, 21i, 31i, 310/320i) and Yasnak has had a hand in it at one time as well. Even today, the Vortech still comes with an "i" series control only.

What does each one do? A little to a lot... that requires a huge response. Is this to taylor to your machine data packages?

Are we getting a discount on your software for doing your research? I think you know all this already (at least you should). I will have to think really hard before buying something from a company that doesn't have information on the controls of the worlds largest machine tool builder.

Mazak Capabilities

Maybe I was not clear in my post...

We know how to communicate and have all the settings for the Mazak models we have documented.

The list was to reference the models out there and begin to help users if features were even available on the control. Is it some secret that Mazak does not publish a list of models and features. Fanuc does, Okuma does.

I don't write any software. I make it work with controls and Mazak seems to have some controls that no longer support CMT. Anyone care to explain this?
Talking to Mazak techs themselves they dont know why this was done or any way to make it work.

Is Mazak the largest machine tool builder?

The Matrix control does not support CMT mode by default but if you look in the parameter listing there is a setting to turn the it on. The CMT mode will allow you to LOAD programs but NOT SAVE so it is pretty useless. I have the procedure to install a USB to serial adaptor and activate the CMT mode but it is too large to attach here. Send me a private message with your email address and I can send it to you

I am trying to get serial communications between a PC with surfcam, and a Mazak with a GE mark century 2000 controller. Does anyone know what the settings should be for communications, and perhaps the procedure on the machine side to download a file from the PC to the machine?
I tried the circuit diagram for the serial connections for a tape reader, and built a cable. The pins I used were 2,3 ,7(signal gnd) ,5,20 shorted on the machine side.
unfortunately I think I am missing part of the process / or I ave made a mistake.
Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.
