| I just bought a used Mazak VTC-41 with a EIA-MB control (Yasnac MX-3) and I've look through the manuals they gave me and I can not find any information on what requirements for a RS-232 communication cable that I need for uploading & downloading programs from a computer Do you need a null modem? My guess is that you could use windows terminal server to transfer the programs ?Any help would be appreciated. Jim C |

I can not get my PC to comunicate with my Mazak VTC 41 with EIA (Yasnac MX-3 control) the manuals don't tell you much. I'm using windows terminal and in program key. I type in O-9999 , IN then send on terminal in a few seconds get TH parity error ! on the control screen, which does not help much if the is no list of errors in the manual. I am also using NCnet lite with no luck. I pretty sure the cables are good. Any help would be great Jim C |

TH means 'tape horizontal' which may mean one side wants 8 bit words and the other side wants 7. It's from the facit tape punch days with 1" wide cnc punched tape and photoelectric readers. FWIW. just what I know about the subject, not necessarily the answer you were looking for. -jim |
