Mazak 640 outside thread milling

Hi I hope someone can help I'm trying to program on my vertical mill to do a o.d. thread mill. I picked circle mill then tornado but thats just for an inside thread mill. Is there a change in the TPC to make it an outside thread mill? Or is there another way. Please someone help me.

It must be done in a MANUAL unit. Go to http://www.vargus.com/ and download the ThreadMill program generator and you can make a G-Code program that can be used in a Mazatrol manual unit or a EIA sub-program.

Most people lie to it... I prefer Manual entry like the above suggests...

Tornado cycle for O.D. thread? How are you doing that? It would be a neat trick but I can't think of a way to avoid the arc out and return to hole center when its done.

Thanks for the link above. I was hoping there was a way to instead going center at and it would move out with a tpc change. Ohwell.

I didn't specifically mean the tornado cycle but I can see how my earlier post would be missleading...
