mazak Quick Turn

Trying to drill a cross hole
using the live tooling
and the hole is not on center
is there a adjustment?

This is the 1st time I have got a chance to set-up a mazak lathe . If it is anyway possiable can you tell me how to set the tool data then the tool offsets. This machine (Mazak 200mt ) has a y axis and I have never used y before can you help me get the tool data set and the offsets?

Follow the bottom right handside, and just put physical tool information in tool data. The live tool offset is specification manual(it's only reference) the best way is to indicate the spindle the get that number.

If you have tool eye ...... it's pieca a cake, all you need is touch off.

The turret may be off! Place a dial on the holder and wind the axis back and forth. If the turret is out thats your prob. Take out the tapered pins from the face of the turret loosen the cap screws and reset the turret on center by dialing the inside of a boring bar holder with an indicator mounted on the chuck.
