Does anyone have a good method for adjusting backlash on a Mazatrol? I seem to remember some sort of method I read about but now I can't find where I read that.

| Two moves away, one move back. MDI or program with singleblock or option stop, after the first move, set your indicator, move away then back. Result is mechanical lost motion. Check minimum 3 places along axis and kind of "average to your advantage" Lee Mitsubishi/Mazaks have two parameters, one is for G0 moves and the other is for G01 moves. Check both ways. |

| Isn't there a way to calculate the offset value or do you just have to poke around till you get it? Also I know of BLX and BLZ parameters for backlash, but are they for rapid or feed?
