| Rz is a measurement of surface roughness. I'm quoting directly from the Talysurf User Handbook here: "Rz is also known as the ISO 10 point height parameter and is the average height difference between the five highest peaks and the five lowest valleys within the sampling length." Not to be confused with Rq which is the RMS value of Ra (the most commonly used parameter of surface roughness). Rais the arithmetic mean of the departures of the profile from the mena line. Your surface roughness mearuring machine should be able to just spit all these values out.
