| Mechanical bind or siezure of the chuck jaws or the rotating cylinder piston is my next guess. At this point, probably going to have to remove the cylinder and draw bar. Test by hooking back up to the air lines and see if it moves left and right or in and out. If it's ok, move to the chuck and see if the chuck jaws move by sliding the center ring left and right. You might tap on the jaws with a rubber hammer and see if they move. The operating circuit works to the solenoid right? Only thing left to do is tear down. What brand and size is the air chuck? I may be able to aquire drawings. My 2 cents worth. Lee. P.S. Before doing the above, have you tried greasing the jaws and trying to operate back and forth at maximum air pressure? |
