Problem- Maztrol M32 - No monitor display No drive light

We have a H400 with a Maztrol M-32 probably about 20 years old. The machine is hooked up but has not been turned on for 2 years. 2 years ago the monitor would turn on and the cpu would boot and give an error. Now nothing happens.

Pressing the on button next to the crt turns the crt on, but it seems to be getting no signal since only small Red Green and Blue lines appear on the screen.

The spindle RPM and Feed come on and read 0, 0 but no other lights on the MDI panel come on.

Inside the Control Panel, the CPU lights up when it is turned on, but the Disk drive doesn't do anything.



Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Your machine is brain dead. You need to reinitalize the control (after replacing the battery) Mazak tech support should have the procedure.

I hope you have the parameter sheet to reenter them after your done getting it back up.

In reading other posts it looks like it initializes the machine from a system disk in the floppy drive. The drive light should come on a couple of times to indicate that the disk is being read.

The drive light does not come on even when following the procedures to follow after replacing the battery.
