Hello, I have a Leadwell MCV/o with the Meldas MO control. I did some 3d work last weekend and have been trying to drip feed with little sucess. I called mitsubishi tech service yesterday and asked how to set up for this and the tech said he didn't think the MO could drip feed. I am skeptical of that. It has a tape mode. Details, Hyperterm for file loading runs great at 19.2baud. Try Procomm ver 2.4.1 for file transfer works at 19.2 Tested tape mode with procomm from 300baud all the way to 19.2, it will load 1st few lines, press cycle start and I get ,parity error v, or parity error h, or program error, depending on the parameters I changed for testing. Can anyone help, or at least let me know if this is possible? Any help greatly appreciated, Cutmore |

| your dc control codes are probably not set right, test by searching up program and turning on single block. hit cycle start and then computer should just sit there waiting for you to run program, if it sends entire program or hesitates then sends it all double check your on/off settings. on m0 screen it should say baud rate then DC after it. |

Kevins75, Thanks for the reply, I will try changing the dc code. I am pretty sure I did try that but I will make sure tonight. Do you know what the procomm settings should be? I am using even parity, 7 bits, 2 stop bits. port 1. x/on/xoff. When I hit the cycle start button after the first line loads, the control gave me the 3 errors I posted before. I don't believe it's the program as I have run the program from memory. Thanks for your help, Cutmore |

Just in case anyone else is trying to do this, I was able to drip-feed a program last night to my Leadwell with a Meldas Mo control using Hyperterm in windows XP. ![]() I used Hyperterm set at 4800 baud, even parity, 2 stop bits, and x0n/xoff. 1st set the rotary switch to tape, under the search menu, put in a T for where to run from, then the file # and hit enter. The display will show search. Then at the pc use transfer text, then double click on the file you want to send. The cnc should show the 1st line of your program. Then you can hit cycle start and make chips! I found you have to be careful with comments (text). I had a comment for my tool (1/2 mill) after a tool change and my spindle didn't start. After I moved the comment to the line following the spindle on line, it ran fine. Hope that helps someone else, Cutmore |
