Is it a Palletech control or PMC100? and which version?
Are the machines M+ or Fusion?

..... might be a hard drive problem

Don't know about the first question, but second is a Mazatrol M Plus.

Old M+ system so the its probably controlled by the old Palletech control unless its been updated to PMC control which I doubt.

I had a pallet pool machine that did the same thing. What did your problem end up being?

Old Dave,
This probably won't apply, but we once had a first generation FMS that wouldn't download from the machines but only upload from the DNC. It was made that way. To delete a program from the machine you would do it machine side. As long as the program was never deleted, we would have no problem. But if the program was deleted by man or bumped out by machine and the program was recalled from the DNC we would have a crash. Come to find out the program stored in the DNC had been corupted and was no good. Since the program wasn't deleted that often, it made it look as though it was an itermittant problem. Just a thought.
