QT-28 t-32 X-axis re zeroing help needed

After we got the spindle conrtoler fixed, 2 months later the x-axis crashed into the end, blowing the plastic caps off the linear guides. These guides are discontinued. and $7000 from mazak (nsk ly45's) So in the meantime, learning from our prior mistake with the spindle drive, sent the servo motor and drive to Mitsu in TO. Turned out to be just the encoder on the end of the motor. $1200 and the tested the drive and servo motor, and sent it back.
We ended up making new endcaps on the mill, and replaceing all the balls in the guides (std .250 ball bearings)

Now my question is how do we go abouts setting the zero position , upper/lower limits or the x-axis??

The upper limit is parameter A9 range -99999999 to 99999999
The lower limit is parameter A10 located under machine parameters.

Each machine may be set different: But ours is A9=2500, A10= -155000

Shannon McCarth is on a distinguished road

Hi Fred!
My name is Shannon Mccarthy. I work for Herdeman Corporation in Cudahy, WI. We are having the same problem now as you did with the end caps blowing off of our QT-28. I see you ended up making your end caps. We are running into the same problems w/ Mazak & NSK and were wondering if you made extra end caps or can make more & if you would be willing to sell some to us. We could try and make them ourselves, but it would be more of a hassle than a help...and it would take us longer to get the machine back up and running. Please let me know if you can help us. Thanks in advance.
