Handbooks as PDF for Download

does somebody know if the Handbooks for the 640 and Integrex are available for download?

The manuals on pdf are availible from Mazak, but it is an option. They are normally sold as a comlete set (all manuals for a specific machine/control) on one CD. Contact your salesman. I may have seen a few manuals on a website called Integrex Machinist.

I asked Mazak UK about manuals on a disc and the answer was "definitely not"

The pdf's I am referring to are called Optimizer disks. One CD that contains most all the manuals pertaining to one machine cost about a thousand dollars and is availible through Mazak parts department in the UNITED STATES.
As far as I know there are no free pdf's availible through Mazak.

The manuals are available here in book form for about $1000.When I asked if I could have them on disc they said "we don`t offer them on disc to users as they would be too easy to copy".

If they are security enabled PDF manuals, you can not copy or even print, based on the permissions settings at the time of creation.
